In Pursuance to achieve the better environment performance of the 1980(3×660) MW super critical power plant, the following pollution control and abatement measures are being implemented.
As an environmentally responsible business TSPL is constantly engaging with the communities in environment protection activities. We are making efforts in increasing environmental awareness and conducting plantation drives to increase green cover to add to the abundance of nature.
Environment protection, development and restoration is a priority for TSPL to achieve environmental sustainability. Plantation drives are frequently taken up in collaboration with the NGOs and community. Focus is laid on mobilizing people to take responsibility of nurturing saplings distributed in community events. Sapling distribution and plantation is an indispensable part of our community initiatives.
